QUESTION: Councillor J. Lahart

"That the Manager accede to Prospect Manor Residents' Association request to provide a granite stone at the junction of Stocking Lane and Scholarstown Road at the entrance to the new cycle track on which the residents' assocation will engrave 'Stocking Lane' and to liaise with the residents association in this regard."

REPLY:

The provision of a name stone as requested would need very careful consideration as to its siting so as not to hinder or impede users of the new infrastructure nor create a danger. While there is no provision in the budget for the project for such a name stone, favourable consideration could be given to the request if a suitable position can be found for it. Arrangements in this regard will be made shortly.
