REVISED APPLICATION FOR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE UNDER THE CAPITAL LOAN AND SUBSIDY SCHEME BY THE HOUSING ASSOCIATION FOR INTEGRATED LIVING LIMITED, (H.A.I.L) IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 6 OF THE HOUSING (MISCELLANEOUS PROVISIONS) ACT 1992 FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF 21 DWELLINGS AND A COMMUNAL/OFFICE FACILITY AT KILCRONAN, CLONDALKIN, DUBLIN 22
REPLY:
South Dublin County Council at its meeting on 14th September 1998 approved the making of a loan of €2,174,822 to HAIL Housing Association, to finance the construction of 21 dwellings and a communal/ office facility at Kilronan, Clondalkin, Dublin 22 subject to the sanction of the Minister for the Environment.
A revised appication was recieved from HAIL for a loan of €2,363,358 in respect of the housing development at Kilcronan. HAIL is an approved Voluntary Body under Section 5 of the Housing Act, 1988. The project has been completed and all tenants were drawn from the County Council's housing list. The Department of the Environment, Heritage and Local Government by letter dated 12th December 2005 approved a revised loan in the sum of €2,363,358.
The passing of the following resolution is now required to complete legal formalities between the Council and HAIL. Accordingly, it is recommended that the Council resolve:
"That the appication for a revised loan in the sum of €2,363,358 by HAIL , in respect of increased construction cost at the existing Rental Subsidy Scheme development at Kilcronan, Clondalkin, be approved under Section 6 of the Housing (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act, 1992".
