REPLY:
South Dublin County Council at its meeting on 14th November 1994 approved the making of a loan of €2,533,030 to Cluid Housing Association (formerly known as St. Pancras), to finance the construction of 44 dwellings at Kilcronan, Clondalkin, Dublin 22 subject to the sanction of the Minister for the Environment.
A revised application was received from Cluid Housing Association for a loan of €2,680,449 in respect of the housing development at Kilcronan. The Society is an approved Voluntary Body under Section 5 of the Housing Act, 1988. The project has been completed with all tenants drawn from the County Council's housing list and in occupation since January 1996.
The passing of the following resolution is necessary at this stage to complete legal formalities between the Council and Cluid. Accordingly, it is recommended that the Council resolve:
"That the application for a revised loan in the sum of €2,680,449 by Cluid Housing Association, in respect of increased construction cost at the existing Rental Subsidy Scheme development at Kilronan, Clondalkin, be approved under Section 6 of the Housing (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act, 1992 subject to the sanction of the Minister of the Environment".
