QUESTION: Councillor E. Tuffy

To ask the Manager how many householders in the Lucan Electoral Area were in receipt of Bin Waivers on the date on which the Council transferred its Household Bin Collection Service to Greyhound Waste, and if he can advise what percentage, approximately, of all households in the Lucan Electoral Area did this represent? 

REPLY:

At the time of the sale of the waste collection service there were 2,545 waiver customers in the Lucan Electoral Area.

The latest geo-directory update shows a total of 18,971 households in this Electoral Area so the waiver customers comprise 13.42% of this total.
