MOTION NO. 13

MOTION: Councillor W. Lavelle

That this Committee requests the Manager to direct the relevant developer to put in place an appropriate boundary treatment along the Dodsboro Road/Tandy’s Lane edge of the Paddocks building site as initially requested by Dodsboro Residents Association and further requested by me at meetings of both this Committee and the Adamstown SDZ steering group, given that the unfinished building site between the finished parts of the Paddocks development and Dodsboro Road/Tandy’s Lane has become a terrible eye-sore for the residents of Dodsboro Cottages?

REPORT:

The Project Team has reviewed the boundary treatment that is in place along the Dodsboro Road/Tandy’s Lane boundary of The Paddocks.  Following discussions with the developer of this area, Maplewood Homes, a secure boundary has been put in place to restrict access to the lands to east.  The boundary fencing does not screen the lands from public view.  The developer has been asked to review this matter and to consider options to either screen the lands to the east or to improve the appearance of the lands.
