MOTION NO. 25

MOTION: Councillor C. Jones

That this Committee calls for a  report on the number of Lucan and Palmerston residents who had been awaiting collection/delivery of bins following cancellation/commencement of service with SDCC since last Autumn. Further that the report would include the number of cases addressed to completion by the Council or Greyhound and would identify discrepancies resulting in remaining outstanding cases.

REPORT:

In early May, Greyhound Recycling & Recovery Ltd.informed the Environmental Services Department that all outstanding requests prior to the sale of the refuse collection service in respect of bin deliveries, removals or chipping had been completed. The Council has no further information on relationships between Greyhound and their customers.
