REPORT:
Fortunestown LAP. Managers report on Pre-Draft Submissions.
The majority of the Plan lands lie within the Tallaght electoral area. Approximately one quarter of the Plan lands lie within the Clondalkin Electoral area, namely the Boherboy lands and the lands covered by the Fortunestown Lane/Garter Lane Local Area Plan 2009.
The pre-draft public consultation phase for the proposed Local Area Plan was held between 31st March and 28th April 2011. A total of 21 submissions were received by the closing date. Seven other submissions were received after the deadline giving a grand total of 28 submissions. As this is a non-statutory stage of the preparation of the Local Area Plan, these late submissions will be considered. Set out below is a brief outline of the main issues raised in these submissions. All issues raised in the submissions will be considered in the predraft Local Area Plan. Table 1 below shows the issues raised as a percentage of total submissions. Next Steps
It is intended to place the Draft Local Area Plan on display by the end of July for a minimum of 6 weeks. The Managers report on the submissions would be made available to members no later than 12 weeks after the Draft Plan goes on public display (ie. by mid-October). At this stage members will have a further six weeks to determine the Plan, which could enable formal adoption at the November County Council meeting.
