Footpath at Nangor Road between the Mill Centre & Colaiste Chillian.

The Old Nangor Road between Fonthill Road and Tower Road in Clondalkin Village is a narrow  road with limited pedestrian facilities. It serves several schools and requires enhanced pedestrian facilities.  Road improvements in the area over the years have removed the significance of this road as a through route.

To prioritise the needs of the pedestrian and maintain vehicular access it is proposed to narrow a section of the Old Nangor Road so that footways can be created to meet pedestrian demands and improve safety.

This will result in a single lane available to vehicular traffic and it is proposed to make this road become one way towards Clondalkin Village. Two-way traffic will be permitted on the remaining wider sections of the Old Nangor Road in accordance with the attached map.
