Item I

Minutes of previous meeting of 7th February agreed – proposed by Cllr Hannon and seconded by Cllr Tuffy.

Item 2

The Name and Shame Update is still awaiting further information for national level.

Item 3

Mr. Gavin Hart presented the Climate Change Presentation and it was agreed that a progress report on South Dublin’s Climate Change Strategy would be brought to the next SPC

Item 4

An update of the level of Enforcement and Collection was presented.  An alternative means of providing the update which would demonstrate receipts against fines is to be examined

Item 5

An update on Community Clean-Ups and Guidelines was presented

Item 6

A report on the draft Litter Management Plan was presented.  It was agreed there would be a series of information sessions to raise awareness and promote submissions.  It was also agreed there would be a special SPC Meeting on 20th June to consider the draft plan with a view to recommending it to the July Council Meeting.

The Business Water Conservation Campaign and the Policy Initiative on Election Posters were deferred to next meeting

Any Other Business

The issue of the sale of the Council’s Waste Collection Service was raised.

The issue of dog fouling and dog litter receptacles was also raised.

Standing Orders were suspended and the meeting concluded at 7.20 p.m.
