MOTION NO.10

MOTION: Councillor E. Tuffy

That this Council supports the implementation of a National Household Bin Waiver System, along the lines of the waiver system implemented  by SDCC in recent years, and requests the Manager to write to the Minister for Environment, Heritage and Local Government, requesting the Government to put in place a National Household Waste Collection Waiver System, as provided for in the Programme for Government as soon as possible, and at the latest by 1st January 2012.

REPORT:

If the motion is passed, the terms of the motion will be conveyed to the Minister for Environment, Community & Local Government and, upon receipt, a copy of his reply will be circulated to the Members.
