QUESTION NO.13
QUESTION: Councillor C. Jones
To ask the Manager the status of any possible funding for future traffic calming measures in the County?
REPLY:
The Council's traffic calming programme commenced in 2003 and since that time 36 traffic calming schemes have been completed across the County. The total cost of these measures to date is approx €5.7m. There are a large number of locations listed on the traffic calming request list. Since 2009, due to budget constraints, no provision has been made in the Annual Budgets for traffic calming measures.
