QUESTION: Councillor E. Higgins

To ask the Manager how many parking zones throughout the county charge for parking on Sundays and to list these zones?

REPLY:

No public paid parking operates on Sundays.

The council is responsible for the control of parking on public roads and in car parks within its maintenance. South Dublin County Council (Control of Parking) Bye Laws 2010 stipulates the parking arrangements including the hours of operation and locations where parking payment is required.

Areas where Monday to Friday parking operates

• Clondalkin
• Lucan
• Rathcoole

Areas where Monday to Saturday parking operates

• Palmerston
• Rathfarnham (*)
• Tallaght (*)
• Templeogue

 * Where some parking spaces operate Monday to Friday

Operational hours are 08:00 to 18:00.
