RE-NOMINATION TO SOUTH DUBLIN COUNTY ENTERPRISE BOARD (CLLR. C. BROPHY)
REPORT:
The following report was presented to the Members at the Organisation, Procedure & Finance Committee Meeting held on 19th May 2011:
Councillor Colm Brophy was originally nominated to the South Dublin County Enterprise Board at the OP&F Meeting held in May 2010 to fill the vacancy arising from Councillor T. Delaney’s resignation from that Board.
By letter dated 9th May 2011 Councillor C. Brophy was notified that, in accordance with South Dublin County Enterprise Board’s Articles of Association, he has ceased to be a Member of the South Dublin County Enterprise Board due to non-attendance at the last 6 meetings. As a result of this there now exists a vacancy on this Board.
Due to work commitments in relation to his candidature for the Dail and Seanad elections Councillor Brophy was unable to attend scheduled meetings of the Board.
Councillor Brophy has now indicated that he wishes to be re-nominated to the South Dublin County Enterprise Board.
The matter is now before the Members for their consideration. End of Report to OP&F.
The report was NOTED and it was AGREED on the proposition of Councillor P. Cosgrave, seconded by Councillor M. Duff to recommend the re-nomination of Councillor C. Brophy to the South Dublin County Enterprise Board.
This matter is now before the Council for approval.
