QUESTION NO. 15

QUESTION: Councillor G. O'Connell

To compliment Management for the recent grass cutting on the N4 at Palmerston and hoping that it will be kept in this condition throughout the Summer and requesting that the grass verges on the Cloverhill Road be put on the works programme as a matter of urgency?

REPLY:

A Public Lighting scheme was carried out sometime ago in the grass verge on Cloverhill Road. This has prevented Parks Dept. from cutting the grass. It was decided that the remaining verge would be hard landscaped to match the adjoining pathway.

The work was included as an item on the Public Realm schedules of work. Unfortunately this work was not chosen to be carried out in 2011 but will be considered for 2012.
