QUESTION: Councillor W. Lavelle

To ask the Manager to advise on the timeframe for planned footpath repairs for Sarsfield Park and to further advise on how these repairs will tie in with reinstatement works carried out as part of the water mains rehabilitation works?

REPLY:

The watermain upgrade scheme in Sarsfield Park was recently completed. Footpaths were reinstated at all the necessary tie-in and connection locations in accordance with the watermain contract. In addition, Roads Department requested the contractor to carry out further footpath repairs which were deemed necessary and these were carried out also by the watermain contractor. The additional footpath works were funded from the footpath repair programme.
