QUESTION: Councillor C. Jones

To ask the manager if he is aware whether opportunistic illegal dumping has been an issue in the Lucan EA at the locations where residents groups have placed the rubbish from clean-ups while awaiting collection by the Litter Warden?

REPLY:

The local Litter Warden reports that there has only been one such incident recently in the Electoral Area where a large amount of material was dumped at an agreed pick-up point after a local clean up.

The Council's Community Clean Up Guidelines and the arrangements made by the local Litter Warden generally prevent any bags or material being left awaiting pick up for any other than a short period of time.
