QUESTION NO. 16
QUESTION: Councillor J. Lahart
"To ask the Manager for the latest developments on the Hermitage View situation to include details of correspondence with Bank of Ireland and what the steps the Manager intends to take to finally resolve the situation which I have been raising for a number of years now on behalf of local residents?"
REPLY:
Following on from the last report in late 2010 the Roads Department sent copies of documents in relation to this case to the Bank of Ireland to assist them in examining their records with a view to them requesting the taking in charge of Hermitage View. During this period the Council's Building Control Section in conjunction with Roads Maintenance have carried out inspections of the infrastructure to identify and cost the works necessary to bring this area to a common quality standard.
To date we have received no reply from the Bank of Ireland and a reminder letter has been issued. The survey of the area by the Building Control Section has been completed and the estimated cost of the works is now being compiled by Roads Maintenance.
Once the overall estimated cost of the works is known a report will be brought to the members.
