QUESTION: Councillor J. Lahart

"To ask the Manager to examine the area around and under the bridge entrance to the Traveller Accommodation at Owendoher Haven as there have been reports of dumping at this locations?"

REPLY:  

The matter has been investigated by the Caretaker for Owendoher Haven and there is evidence of dumping in this area. The Traveller Accommodation Unit will work in conjunction with the Cleansing Unit, Environmental Services Department and the Anti Litter Wardens to try to identify who is carrying out the dumping in this area and to arrange for a clean up.
