QUESTION: Councillor E. Tuffy

To ask the Manager for a report on works to install traffic signals on Griffeen Avenue, where the road crosses two section of Griffeen Valley Park, and also if he will provide an updated report on the request for a School Warden Service at Griffeen Avenue, in the vicinity of Griffeen Glen, Oldbridge and Rossberry Estates?

REPLY:

The civil works have been commenced at the crossing point and arrangements are being made for power supply and the installation of the signal equipment. Works are expected to be completed in the summer.

A school warden is provided adjacent to the roundabout at Griffeen Road and provides access to the two nearby schools. The warrant criteria (school pedestrians crossing) for the provision of a warden near to Oldbridge was not met.
