QUESTION: Councillor G. O'Connell

To ask the Manager if any inspection has been carried out on the roads, grass and footpaths on Culmore Rd and Culmore Park area of Palmerstown, following recent works carried out by utility companies (name supplied), and if he will make a statement on the matter?

REPLY:

The works were carried out under SDCC licence in November 2010 as part of a broadband upgrade in the area. Owing to the occurrence of heavy snowfall and prolonged sub zero temperatures at the time it was not possible to carry out adequate reinstatements. The Utility company have recently been contacted and they have committed to carrying out full reinstatements in early May 2011.
