QUESTION: Councillor W. Lavelle

To ask the Manager to update on discussions with Maplewood Homes on the taking-in-charge of The Paddocks; to outline what necessary remedial and snagging works as identified by the Council have been carried to date by the developer; to advise on matters yet to be resolved and works yet to be completed; and to advise on a likely timeframe for completion of the taking-in-charge process?

REPLY:

The Adamstown SDZ Project Team and the Roads Department has been liaising with Maplewood Homes on an ongoing basis, to secure satisfactory completion of The Paddocks Phase 1.  Works on roads, footpaths and public lighting are almost completed with the exception of some traffic calming.  Works are scheduled to commence on the main public open space in the coming weeks. It is anticipated that the formal taking in charge process for roads, footpaths and open spaces will commence by the end of 2011.
