REPORT ON DRAFT COUNTYWIDE SPEED LIMIT REVIEW 2011

A draft review of countywide speed limits following on from the publication of the new speed limit guidelines by the Dept. of Transport, has now been completed for presentation to the Area Committees.  A formal submission has been made to the Garda Commissioner (who has one month to respond) and thereafter, a full public consultation process will commence.  Comments and observations have also be sought from the National Roads Authority. 

Attached is a copy of the draft bye-law and associated map for information.  Also included is a  schedule which highlights the proposed changes to the existing bye-law for each area respectively.
