QUESTION: Councillor B. Bonner

To ask the Manager what more can be done to address the problem of illegal parking outside St Bernadette's Schools at Greenfort, Clondalkin which is causing serious risk to the safety of pupils there

REPLY:

The school has been provided with posters relating to the School Keep Clear markings. These markings are worn in places and will need to be renewed. This matter  will be brought to the attention of the road maintenance division to repair as soon as possible

In order to give protection to children crossing Greenfort Avenue and Greenfort Crescent, it is recommended that double yellow lines be provided at all four corners adjacent to the roundabout and will include the area around the dished footpaths. This matter will be brought to the Garda authorities for statutory approval and placed before the TMM.
