MOTION: Councillor T. Gilligan

That this Committee outlines how the Manager intends to deal with constituents' queries about bins not being collected in the Clondalkin , Brittas, Saggart, Newcastle, Rathcoole areas?  Can anything be done if bins are uncollected for 3 days / 5 days / 7 days?

REPORT:

A commitment in relation to missed collections was sought and received as part of the transfer of the Council's Service to Greyhound Recycling and Recovery on 1st April 2011. Areas that collections missed during late March were visited and collections were provided by Greyhound during the first week in April. The Council now has no role in the providing refuse collection services in the county.
