"To ask the Manager to ensure that vacant houses * Adresses supplied   are speedily made safe and that the owners are pursued under The Derelict Sites Act noting the devastating effects these vacant properties have on the surrounding communities in addition to the many dangers to life and limb posed by them?"

REPLY:

Follwing break-ins,fire,flood etc.it may be necessary owners/occupiers to board up houses temporarily.However, the long term boarding up of vacant dwellings is not acceptable The houses in question are vacant and have been boarded up.The Council is endeavouring to contact the owners to ascertain their proposals for the properties.
