QUESTION NO. 4

QUESTION: Councillor D. Looney

"To ask the Manager to arrange for a clean-up of Greenhills Park?"

REPLY:

Greenhills park is maintained on a regular basis by the Council and this includes grass cutting and litter picking.  It is considered to be a park that is maintained to a high standard and the local users of the park are generally very co-operative in helping to keep it in a tidy manner.  Nevertheless, there are sections of the population that that do not always conduct themselves in a manner that would be considered to be acceptable  and this does cause localised problems with litter and dog fouling.  The Council will continue to endeavour to maintain the park to as high a standard as possible.

The Council's Community Clean-up Guidelines are now available on line www.sdcc.ie  and the Council's Litter Warden Service can be contacted in this regard.
