QUESTION NO. 10

QUESTION: Councillor B. Bonner

To ask the Manager what is the status of Glebe House in Rathcoole which is derelict and in the opinion of local residents a health and safety risk.

REPLY:

An Endangerment Notice pursuant to Section 59 of the Planning & Development Act 2000 (as amended) issued to the owners of Glebe House on the 18th August 2010, detailing works necessary to prevent the continuing endangerment of Glebe House.

Following recent inspections of the lands, it has been found that the S59 Endangerment Notice has not been complied with.

New ownership details have now come to hand which necessitate the service of a further S59 Endangerment Notice in this case.

This matter is also under investigation by the Council's Architects Department and a Notice has been served under Dangerous Structures Legislation.
