MOTION: Councillor T. Ridge

That a report be presented outlining the numbers of housing units available to applicants on our waiting lists in the Clondalkin Electoral area. Reply to include what units from the private sector are available for renting (if any?).

REPORT:

To date under the Social Housing Leasing Initiative 9 properties in the Clondalkin Electoral Area have been procured under agreed lease arrangements from private property owners and made available for tenanting to persons on the social housing waiting lists. A further 14 properties in this area are currently being processed  under lease arrangements and will be made available for tenanting to housing applicants on completion of lease agreements.    

At present there are currently 17 Council stock dwellings available for allocation in the Clondalkin Electoral area, tenants have been identified for 7 of these dwellings, tenants will shortly be sourced for the remaining 10 dwellings.
