MOTION NO.7

MOTION: Councillor C. King

That this Committee calls on the Manager to arrange for the immediate re-planting of the limited green space at Kiltalown Green/Crescent/Heights which was expected to be planted with grass to a high standard after the infill development in the area was completed.

REPORT:

This area requires to be supplemented with topsoil as site investigations into the absence of growth after seeding, have revealed a deficit of topsoil.

An instruction has been issued to the Contractor to supplement the topsoil, rotovate and re-seed.  This is scheduled for mid-April at the start of the grass planting season.  The relevant finance has been held in retention to ensure the proper execution of the works.
