QUESTION NO. 6
QUESTION: Councillor B. Bonner
To ask the Manager what measures are in place to address the problem of cars speeding on the Monastery Road in Clondalkin
REPLY:
Monastery road has a 50 KPH speed limit and its enforcement is a matter for the Garda Authorities. The Council have no plans for additional measures in relation to speed reduction. It should be noted, however, that it is intended to provide a pedestrian crossing on this road to facilitate pedestrians crossing to and from the Red Cow Luas stop. It is intended to put this in place in 2011 with the aid of a grant from the NTA.
