QUESTION: Councillor J. Lahart

"To ask the Manager to weed and restore the landscaping on the Orlagh Grove, Scholarstown and Ballyboden Roundabouts?"

REPLY:

The maintenance of roundabouts now requires consideration and incorporation of enhanced Health and Safety procedures.  The Parks and Landscape Services Department is currently revising its Health and Safety procedures to incorporate these new considerations.  When this process has been completed a decision will be made on the level of maintenance that can be undertaken taking into account Health and Safety as well as resource implications.
