FILLING OF COUNCILLOR VACANCIES ON STRATEGIC POLICY COMMITTEES

i)  Councillor Vacancy On Transportation Strategic Policy Committee (Councillor D. Keating) 

REPLY:

The following report was presented to the Members at the Organisation, Procedure & Finance Committee Meeting held on 24th March 2011:

“A vacancy exists on the Transportation SPC Sport, Recreation, Community & Parks SPC following Councillor D. Keating's election to Dáil Eireann and consequent disqualification from this committee.   Ms Emma Higgins has been co-opted to replace Derek Keating and it is now before the members to recommend approval to the nomination of Ms Higgins to the Transportation Strategic Policy Committee.”  End of Report to OP&F.

It was proposed by Councillor W. Lavelle, seconded by Councillor T. Ridge and RESOLVED:

“That Councillor E. Higgins be nominated to fill the vacancy on the Transportation Strategic Policy Committee.”

This matter is now before the Council for approval.
