FILLING OF COUNCILLOR VACANCIES ON STRATEGIC POLICY COMMITTEES

h)  Councillor Vacancy On Sport, Recreation, Community & Parks Strategic Policy Committee (Councillor D. Keating)

REPLY:

The following report was presented to the Members at the Organisation, Procedure & Finance Committee Meeting held on 24th March 2011:

"A vacancy exists on the Sport, Recreation, Community & Parks SPC following Councillor D. Keating's election to Dáil Eireann and consequent disqualification from this committee.   Ms Emma Higgins has been co-opted to replace Derek Keating and it is now before the members to recommend approval to the nomination of Ms Higgins to the Sport, Recreation, Community & Parks Strategic Policy Committee.”  End of Report to OP&F.

It was proposed by Councillor W. Lavelle, seconded by Councillor T. Ridge  and RESOLVED:

“That Councillor E. Higgins be nominated to fill the vacancy on the Sport, Recreation, Community & Parks Strategic Policy Committee.”

This matter is now before the Council for approval.
