FILLING OF COUNCILLOR VACANCIES ON STRATEGIC POLICY COMMITTEES

g)  Councillor Vacancy On Housing & Social Development Strategic Policy Committee  (Councillor R. Dowds)

REPLY:

The following report was presented to the Members at the Organisation, Procedure & Finance Committee Meeting held on 24th March 2011:

“A vacancy exists on the Housing & Social Development SPC following Councillor R. Dowds's election to Dáil Eireann and consequent disqualification from this committee.   Ms Breeda Bonner has been co-opted to replace Robert Dowds and it is now before the members to recommend approval to the nomination of Ms Bonner to the Housing & Social Development Strategic Policy Committee.”  End of Report to OP&F.

It was proposed by Councillor E. Tuffy, seconded by Councillor T. Ridge      and RESOLVED:

“That Councillor B. Bonner be nominated to fill the vacancy on the Housing & Social Development Strategic Policy Committee.”

This matter is now before the Council for approval.
