FILLING OF COUNCILLOR VACANCIES ON STRATEGIC POLICY COMMITTEES

f)  Councillor Vacancy On Environment Strategic Policy Committee (Councillor E. Maloney)

REPLY:

The following report was presented to the Members at the Organisation, Procedure & Finance Committee Meeting held on 24th March 2011:

“A vacancy exists on the Environment SPC following Councillor E. Maloney's election to Dáil Eireann and consequent disqualification from this committee.  Mr. Chris Bond has been co-opted to replace Eamonn Maloney and it is now before the members to recommend approval to the nomination of Mr. Bond to the Environment Strategic Policy Committee.”  End of Report to OP&F.

It was proposed by Councillor E. Tuffy, seconded by Councillor C. Jones    and RESOLVED:

“That Councillor C. Bond be nominated to fill the vacancy on the Environment Strategic Policy Committee.”

This matter is now before the Council for approval.
