QUESTION: Councillor E. Tuffy

To ask the Manager if he can confirm that the HGV ban on the section of the Outer Ring Road between the Adamstown Relief Road/Fonthill Link Road Roundabout and the Woodies Junction is a condition required by An Bord Pleanála?

REPLY:

The HGV ban referred to in the question was put in place as part of the Outer Ring Road scheme which subsequently received the  approval of An Bord Pleanala. The Bord's Order does not contain any condition which prevents its removal if required. The imposition of a ban or its removal is an executive function.
