MOTION NO. 5

MOTION: Councillor M. Duff

That the Manager inform this Committee if there is any intention to carry out a programme to inspect and replace damaged bins in the Tallaght area. There are a large number of  green bins, possibly damaged during the adverse weather conditions or through other means. Some of the bins contain materials other than that which can be recycled.

REPORT:

The Council's Cleansing Section conduct routine inspections of litter bin installations and programme replacement bins as part of their normal work programmes. Any particular locations of damaged bins should be notified to the Cleansing Section from where they will be investigated and followed up.
