QUESTION: Councillor E. Tuffy

To ask the Manager if he will present a report on recent tree pruning and tree removal along Palmerstown Avenue, and if he will advise if the tree outside a particular house (Address Supplied) had been marked for removal and if he will advise whether it will be removed?

REPLY:

All tree pruning works were undertaken in Palmerstown in accordance with the Arboricultural Programme 2010/11 as presented to the Lucan Area Committee Meeting on 25th January 2011.  One tree on Palmerston Avenue, which was listed for removal, has not been removed yet.  The Parks Department have requested the ESB to carry out preliminary pruning works close to overhead wires before it is safe for Parks staff to remove this tree.
