MOTION NO. 5

MOTION: Councillor T. Delaney

That this Committee requests the re-siting of 2no. litter bins outside Mannion's and the Chinese Takeaway at Castle Shops in Clondalkin. Bins are currently positioned just inches from security shutters which pose a fire hazard as well as an inconvenience to shop owners as bins are frequently overflowing from overnight filling particularly at weekends.

REPORT:

The bins in question are certainly in very close proximity to the shops and the Cleansing Section will be instructed to remove them from their current location for health and safety reasons.  Once Cleansing are in a position to install bins these bins, they will be be sited in safer locations.
