MOTION NO. 10

MOTION: Councillor M. McDonagh

That this Area Committee requests that the Traffic Management Committee consider traffic calming measures on Neilstown Drive adjacent to numbers 8/9.

REPORT:

In response to a large number of requests for traffic calming measures throughout the Council’s administrative area the Council’s Transportation Strategic Policy Committee at its meeting on the 11^th May 2006 adopted a new Traffic Calming programme comprising of four schemes in each of the Council’s five electoral areas.  The selection of each individual scheme will be made by the relevant Area Committee.

Neilstown Drive is on the traffic calming request list for the Clondalkin electoral area.

 The Clondalkin Area Committee will examine this list if and when selecting further traffic calming schemes.  However, there is no budget for traffic calming measures in 2011.
