QUESTION: Councillor E. Coburn

"To ask the Manager for an update on the investigation of the T Junction site in Pearse Brothers Park where a car left the road and crossed the open green. Roads signs have recently been erected however concerns remain that the land terrain is still open and vulnerable to a repeat occurrence which needs to be secured against?"

REPLY:

A site investigation was carried out, it was evident that the cause of the incident had nothing to do with the condition or state of the road at this location.  However, to further highlight the junction, chevron signage in addition to a yield sign has been installed.  Yield markings are yet to be installed, this work will be carried out shortly by our lining contractor.
