MOTION NO. 18

MOTION: Councillor C. Jones

That the Manager will hold a pre-planning briefing for Councillors regarding the planned school at Esker Lane.

REPORT:

With respect to pre planning meetings it is the policy of the Council that these discussions remain confidential as proposals are hypothetical until an application is lodged. However, with respect to the planned school on the Council depot site, the Park's Department, Development Department and the Department of Education and Science have undertaken to hold a joint information meeting when appropriate drawings are available. With respect to wider education provision in the Lucan area the Council will continue to keep the elected members informed of developments in this area.
