QUESTION NO. 5
QUESTION: Councillor C. Jones
To ask the Manager to report on activities of the Dog Warden in parks and green spaces within the Lucan area?
REPLY:
Parks Bye Laws stipulate that dogs must be kept on a leash. The Parks are policed by the Park Rangers. The Dog Wardens also regularly patrol the parks and green spaces in all areas of South Dublin, including Lucan. Fines are issued when dogs are not kept under control by their owners in accordance with the Control of Dogs Act 1986 and where necessary legal proceedings are undertaken.
