QUESTION NO. 9

QUESTION: Councillor R. Dowds

To ask the Manager to present a report on snags which require to be tackled in the Neilstown Boxing Club building, especially the following:-

1.  Leaking roof over the Boxing Ring.

2.  Rising Damp.

3.  Improved Drainage away from the showers.

4.  Need for controls on the heating system.

REPLY:

1. The leaking roof has been investigated and the problem identified. The glazing contractor who installed the roof light completed the repair on February 7th.

2 and 3 There is no rising damp. This was caused by the water from the showers. The doors to the shower cubicles have been revised to stop water spilling from the showers onto the floor. The tiles will be re-laid this week to improve the falls onto the floor to the drainage channels.

4. The controls on the heating system have been fixed.
