School Time HGV Restriction on Newcastle Road

At the January meeting of the Lucan Area Committee it was agreed that the implementation of the School time restriction would proceed and that the relevant stakeholders would be notified of this decision by bringing the matter to the attention of the Transport SPC and the Planning and Economic Development SPC at the earliest opportunity in accordance with the wishes of the Garda Commissioner to ensure full compliance with the restriction. In this regard a number of possible alternative routes have been identified which could impact on the Clondalkin Area. It is for this reason that this matter is being brought separately to the attention of the Clondalkin members.

The possible routes are shown on the attached map.
