3. Litter Fines and Enforcement update.

REPLY:

At the November SPC it was agreed that a letter would issue to the Fines Office regarding the collection of outstanding Litter Fines.

The Law Department have issued a letter in this regard.  The Fines Office have informed the Law Agent that they do not have staff resources to follow up on outstanding fines, so they issue warrants to the Gardai for same when possible. 

Two staff in the Law Department have been appointed as members of the Courts Committee which meets regularly and the issue of recovery of all fines outstanding to

South Dublin County Council will be raised.
