MOTION: Councillor J. Lahart

"That this Committee requests the Manager to once and for all, after three years of asking, deal with the request of Residents in Idrone and about which I have placed several motions, questions, membersnet representations, e-mails and telephone calls, regarding the pruning of trees to the rear of their properties as requested and to liaise wth Residents prior to doing so and that this work be carried out as soon as is practicable and IN THIS TREE PRUNING/CUTTING SEASON - in the process can the manager resist the temptation to issue a standard response - I could decorate the parish of Knocklyon with them."

REPORT:

Light pruning works were undertaken at this location in 2010 – however, the adjoining residents were not completely satisfied with the extent of the pruning works.  In an effort to deal with the issue in a comprehensive manner Parks and Landscape Services staff are currently engaged in more extensive tree surgery works at this location.
