Go gcinnteoidh gach ball den gComhairle seo go mbainfidh a bpáirtí polaitiúil gach postaer agus gach Ábhar toghchánaíochta anuas i gceart Ó na cuallí solais agus Ó  mhaoin eile na Comhairle agus nach bhfágfaidh aon rian den Ábhar sin orthu; na  ceanglóirí plaisteacha go háirithe, tar Éis an olltoghcháin atá le teacht an mhí seo agus go n-úsáidfaidh sé/sí deimheas crann chun na críche sin.        

(That each member of this Council will ensure that their political party removes every poster and electioneering material from the lampposts and other Council property and that no trace of this material is left on them, especially the plastic binders, after the forthcoming election and that Garden Secateurs be used fo such purposes.)

REPORT:

Cuireann mír 19(7) d’Acht um Thruailliú Ó Bhruscar 1997 Éileamh go mbeidh póstaer toghcháin togtha anuas taobh istigh de 7 lá taréis an toghchán. Tá iallach ar iarrthóirí póstaer, Ábhar toghchanaíochta  agus uirlisi eile m.sh. ceangal plaisteach a bhaint Ó aiteanna poiblí taobh istigh de 7 lá tar-éis an toghcháin. Muna bíonn póstaer, Ábhar toghchanaíochta  agus uirlisi eile m.sh. ceangal plaisteach toghtha anuas taobh istigh den achar 7 lá sin, is feidir leis an Udarás Aitúil fineáil €150 a ghearradh ar gach póstaer.

(Section 19 (7) of the Litter Pollution Act 1997 requires that election posters be taken down within 7 days of an election. Candidates are therefore obliged to remove all posters, electioneering material and associated appendages eg plastic tie from public areas within 7 days of the election. If Election posters, electioneering material and associated appendages eg plastic tie are not removed within the 7 day time period Local Authorities can issue fines of €150 per poster.)
