QUESTION NO. 2
QUESTION: Councillor W. Lavelle
To ask the Manager, further to the reply to my question at the September 2010 meeting, to report on the likely timeframe for works to remove the Maplewood Homes hoarding and to generally tidy-up the hedgerow boundary between The Paddocks and the open space at Hillcrest?
REPLY:
A detailed examination of the hedgerow has been carried out and no major pruning/thinning is considered to be necessary at this time. It is proposed to carry out light pruning to areas of the hedgerow as part of the current arboricultural works.
The Planning Department have reported that it is anticipated that the removal of the Maplewood hoarding along the hedgerow and the erection of the approved boundary railing will be carried out between now and March 2011.
