QUESTION: Councillor G. O'Connell

To ask the Manger for a progress report on the ditch between Palmerstown Court and the adjoining industrial property and when can the residents expect this matter to be concluded?

REPLY:

Following the on site meeting in 2009 with local residents and Gardaí, significant pruning and thinning works were undertaken at this location in an effort to make the area less attractive for anti-social behaviour.  These works proved to be quite effective at the time. The Park's Department will continue to manage the vegetation along the boundary with the adjoining industrial property to reduce the opportunities for antisocial behaviour. Where such behaviour does arise, local residents should be advised to contact the Gardaí.
